The idea of Proud Hooman began with my soul dog, Shirley. Battling with spinal disc ruptures and congestive heart failure, she needed extra care and comfort, especially during her daily walks. I wanted to create gear that not only served Shirley's needs, but could also provide comfort to any dog. Although Shirley crossed the rainbow bridge in January 2024 before seeing Proud Hooman come to life, her spirit continues to inspire every decision that we make.

We believe that even the smallest acts of kindness can make a world of a difference to those in need, which is why we are using our tiny but mighty platform to help advocate for and support shelter dogs who are waiting for their forever homes.
